UltraLight Survival for Trail Runners  is an excellent course for day hikers and trail runners to learn foundational skills in survival, should their short outing turn for the worst. Most survival situations are resolved within 72 hours and most of the gear used during the survival situation was already on the person. Most people don't know that day hikers are the most vulnerable to survival situations because of the least amount of gear they carry. In this course you will learn to carry basic ultralight essentials that can keep you safer and feeling more secure should there be unforeseen circumstances where you'd need to spend the night(s) in the backcountry.
